It was late in May, 2022 when a group of residents of Laguna Woods Village got together as a response to the shooting that took place at the local Geneva Taiwanese Presbyterian Church and because of the steady increase of hate incidents that devastated both the Village and the larger Orange County community.

It took nine months for the Laguna Woods Community Bridge Builders to be recognized as a formal Laguna Woods Club.

Community Bridge events take place every two months, but educational workshops that are part of larger projects and field trips take place throughout the year.
